NPI Concludes Short Course on Measuring Animal Product Quality with Phenomics Technology
The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with the Center of Excellence on Agricultural Biotechnology (AG-BIO), Kasetsart University, organized a short course on "Measuring the Quality of Animal Products (Milk, Chicken and Eggs) with Phenomics Technology".

The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with the Center of Excellence on Agricultural Biotechnology (AG-BIO), Kasetsart University, organized a short course on "Measuring the Quality of Animal Products (Milk, Chicken and Eggs) with Phenomics Technology" from 28 to 31 January 2025 in the Board Room, Administration Building, Northeastern Science Park, Khon Kaen University. The course has now reached its final day and concluded successfully.

The course attracted a large number of researchers, faculty members, students and personnel from related industries. It aimed to impart knowledge and skills in applying phenomics technology together with genomic and metabolomic data to assess and raise the quality of animal products to international standards.

Final Day: Putting Knowledge into Practice On the final day, participants took part in a group assignment designed to integrate knowledge from across the course and apply it in practice. Each group presented ideas on key topics, including:

Approaches to applying phenomics technology in research and industry

Future trends in assessing animal product quality using genomic and metabolomic data

Participants presented their ideas and plans for applying what they had learned in their own work contexts and received feedback from the panel of expert instructors. This provided an overall picture of how knowledge can be put to practical use in agriculture and the food industry—an important step toward future innovation and academic collaboration.

The course focused not only on theoretical knowledge but also on hands-on practice and the development of ideas that can be applied in agriculture, the food industry and bioscience research—key mechanisms for raising production standards and strengthening the country's international competitiveness.

Participants also built collaborative networks among researchers, students and entrepreneurs from a wide range of organizations, paving the way for further collaboration, research development and new innovations in the future.

The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, thanks the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), through the Knowledge Hub on Modern Agricultural Science for High-Value Agricultural Products, for its generous support of this activity.

Although the course has ended, learning and knowledge development continue. The Institute sincerely hopes that all participants will be able to apply and build on what they have learned effectively, working together to raise the quality of Thailand's animal products to internationally recognized standards.
