The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, welcomed the dean and faculty members of the College of Computing, Khon Kaen University, to discuss collaboration in academics, research and innovation, with the aim of advancing the integration of digital technology and phenomics for future development.

The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirapat Chiewchanwattana, Dean of the College of Computing; Asst. Prof. Dr. Chanon Dechsupa, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation; Ms. Phraiwan Khunasathitchai, Director of the College Administration Division; and Ms. Naphat Sichan, staff member of the College of Computing, Khon Kaen University, for a meeting to discuss collaboration in academics, research and innovation. The institute organized the meeting with the dean and faculty members of the College of Computing to strengthen integrated collaboration across computer science, digital technology and phenomics, which form an important foundation for future health research and innovation. The meeting was held on Wednesday, 25 March 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Meeting Room M4, Science Park Administration Building, Khon Kaen University.

On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jutarop Phetcharaburanin, Director of the National Phenome Institute, together with the institute's executives, researchers and staff, welcomed the visitors and presented an overview of the institute's operations, as well as its capabilities in research, technology, and phenomics and bioinformatics infrastructure, which play a key role in supporting the development of health innovation and precision health. The discussion focused on integrating computer science expertise with phenomics research, developing artificial intelligence (AI) and bioinformatics technologies to support health research, translating knowledge into real-world use and innovation, and systematically building academic and research collaboration networks at the institutional level.

The visitors also toured the institute's phenomics infrastructure and laboratories, which feature advanced technologies and instruments for biological and data analysis, a key mechanism for driving health research and innovation in Thailand. The meeting reflected the commitment of both organizations to building a strategic partnership to advance knowledge, technology and innovation that can be put to concrete use at the national and international levels.
