NPI Welcomes Participants of the 18th SCiUS Science Relationship Camp
The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, welcomed participants of the "18th SCiUS Science Relationship Camp" from the Science Classroom in University-Affiliated School Project (SCiUS-KKU), overseen by Khon Kaen University (SCiUS-KKU Project) in collaboration with the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI).

The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, welcomed participants of the "18th SCiUS Science Relationship Camp" from the Science Classroom in University-Affiliated School Project (SCiUS-KKU), overseen by Khon Kaen University (SCiUS-KKU Project) in collaboration with the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), on a study visit to Meeting Room M3, Administration Building, KKU Science Park, on 2 April 2026.

On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jutarop Phetcharaburanin, Director of the Institute, welcomed the participants and shared the Institute's vision and role in advancing research in phenomics and precision health for the future of Thailand's health system. The activity was held in three sessions for a total of more than 105 participants, all of whom gained new experiences through the talk "Phenomics & Precision Health" by Dr. Korawit Ophatsathian. The talk guided participants through the world of in-depth health data, from the differences between genomics and phenomics to real-world applications in future disease prevention, followed by an interactive Q&A session.

A key highlight of the activity was a tour of the Institute's advanced research instruments, including: • Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) • Gas Chromatography (GC) • Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS) • Sequencing Technology giving the students a first-hand look at real-world research and the potential of modern technology up close.

The activity not only enriched the students' knowledge of science and innovation but also inspired young people to pursue careers as researchers and become a driving force in the nation's future development.
