National Phenome Institute, KKU, Welcomes Environmental Science Faculty and Students from the Faculty of Science
The Environmental Science Program, Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University, visited the institute for a study visit on “Detection of Microplastics and Pathogens from Infectious Waste Residues in Products and the Environment”.

The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, welcomed faculty members and students from the Environmental Science Program, Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University, for a study visit on “Detection of Microplastics and Pathogens from Infectious Waste Residues in Products and the Environment”, aimed at strengthening their knowledge and experience in environmental science research.

The visit focused on knowledge transfer in the analysis of environmental samples. Students learned the principles and techniques of using advanced analytical instruments (High-throughput Platform), a key infrastructure for modern scientific research.

Students also learned how Phenomics technologies can be applied to detect and analyze environmental contaminants, such as microplastics and pathogens that may remain from infectious waste — pressing issues affecting health and ecosystems today.

The visit was a valuable opportunity to broaden the students' perspectives and build on their knowledge toward in-depth study and future research, while promoting the integration of environmental science and phenomics technologies.

The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, remains committed to serving as a hub for learning and knowledge transfer in advanced science and technology, supporting workforce development and research that sustainably address the needs of society and the nation.
