NPI, KKU, Holds 2025 Annual Academic Seminar to Strengthen Research Proposal Writing
The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, held its 2025 Annual Academic Seminar at Nafai Country View & Resort, Phu Pha Man District, Khon Kaen Province. The seminar aimed to strengthen knowledge and develop skills in writing research proposals aligned with funding agency guidelines, and to provide a forum for exchange among researchers, faculty members and graduate students, raising the quality of research at the institute and Khon Kaen University.

On Sunday, 16 February 2025, the National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, held its 2025 Annual Academic Seminar at Nafai Country View & Resort, Phu Pha Man District, Khon Kaen Province. The seminar aimed to strengthen knowledge and develop skills in writing research proposals aligned with funding agency guidelines, and to provide a forum for exchange among researchers, faculty members and graduate students, raising the quality of research at the institute and Khon Kaen University.

The morning session opened with a presentation of the institute's vision, mission, goals and key achievements by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jutarop Phetcharaburanin, Director of the National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University. She emphasized the institute's development direction in line with the national research strategy, as well as approaches to writing complete research proposals that meet the objectives of funding agencies.

This was followed by workshop lectures from distinguished experts on key topics, including:

“Preparing Research Proposals That Appeal to Funders and Pitching Techniques” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pongsutti Phuensane, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy and Assistant Director for Business Collaboration Development

“Preparing Research Proposals That Appeal to Funders and Understanding the Components of Proposal Forms” by Dr. M.L. Manida Suksawat, Deputy Director for Academic Services

The seminar was further honored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rina Patramanon, Assistant Director for High-Performance Workforce Development; Asst. Prof. Dr. Apinya Jusakul, Deputy Director for Research and Business Collaboration Development; Dr. Chaturaphon Chokphukhiao, Deputy Director for Administration; and Dr. Suppanat Kosolwattana, member of the Administrative Subcommittee, who offered academic insights and advice to strengthen researchers' competencies and skills in preparing high-quality grant proposals that lead to tangible outcomes.

In the afternoon, participants worked together to draft research proposals, integrating the knowledge of National Phenome Institute researchers and graduate students. The session provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives, share experiences and receive guidance from expert faculty members to further improve the quality of the proposals.

The program also included Team Building activities to foster unity and good relationships among faculty members, researchers and students, through creative activities that strengthen teamwork within the organization.

The 2025 Annual Academic Seminar was an important opportunity to strengthen knowledge, skills and academic networks, supporting the development of research at the National Phenome Institute and Khon Kaen University toward sustainable international standing.
