The Khon Kaen University Executive Board has resolved to establish the “National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University” as a new unit under the Office of the President. The institute will serve as a hub for research and product development with industry, built on internationally standardized advanced phenomics and bioinformatics technologies, and as a center for academic services in phenomics and bioinformatics. It plays a key role in driving mission-specific research and the university's strategy, raising the nation's research and innovation capacity.
Under Khon Kaen University Announcement No. 2470/2024, dated 9 October 2024, the Khon Kaen University Executive Board resolved to establish the “National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University” as a new unit under the Office of the President. The institute's purpose is to serve as a hub for research and product development in partnership with industry, built on internationally standardized advanced phenomics and bioinformatics technologies.
The institute also serves as a center for academic services in phenomics and bioinformatics, and plays a key role in driving mission-specific research and the university's strategy, sustainably enhancing the nation's capacity for research and innovation.
