On 7 November 2024, Gibthai Co., Ltd. hosted NGS Discovery Day: Unlocking Innovation from Lab to Life at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel. The event served as a key forum for exchanging knowledge and innovations in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology and its real-world applications in research and medicine.
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jutarop Phetcharaburanin, Director of the National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, was invited to speak on "Microbiomics and Metabolomics: A Dual Approach to Monitoring and Enhancing Gut Health". He presented concepts and research findings that combine next-generation sequencing with metabolomics to investigate host–microbiota interactions in the gastrointestinal tract in depth—interactions that play a vital role in health care, disease prevention and understanding disease mechanisms at the molecular level.
The talk also shared knowledge and experience from research and the application of advanced technologies to monitor and promote gut health, attracting strong interest from researchers, academics and attendees. It reflected the role of the National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, as a center of excellence in phenomics and bioinformatics, ready to translate research into real-world impact at both national and international levels.
