Ministry of Public Health and KKU Medical Innovation Leaders Visit the National Phenome Institute
On 24 December 2024, executives from the Ministry of Public Health and from Khon Kaen University’s Wellness and Medical Innovation District Management Center, Cell Therapy Center and Smart City Operation Center visited the National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, to discuss academic collaboration and exchange knowledge and experience in phenomics research and the use of advanced analytical instruments.

On 24 December 2024, executives from the Ministry of Public Health and from Khon Kaen University’s Wellness and Medical Innovation District Management Center, Cell Therapy Center and Smart City Operation Center visited the National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, to discuss academic collaboration and exchange knowledge and experience in phenomics research and the use of advanced analytical instruments. The two sides also explored ways to develop collaboration in an integrated medical services industry, aiming to drive advanced medical innovation of the future and strengthen cutting-edge medical services in Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Jutarop Phetcharaburanin, Director of the National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, welcomed the visitors and presented the institute’s mission, vision and academic service role, as well as the capabilities of its infrastructure and High-throughput Platform, which is central to supporting advanced research in omics sciences.

Dr. Wassana Jamnongkan, Operations Manager, together with institute researchers Dr. Marisa Attapong, Dr. Navaporn Sritong, Dr. Rattanasak Wongkomonchet, Dr. Chakkraphong Khlueapsungnoen, Thanaporn Kulthawatsiri, Theerayut Bubpamala, Naruemon Maha-amnat, Chotika Chatgasem, Preeyakan Malikrong and Phitchaya Lawan, guided the delegation through the laboratories and key research instruments and explained the working principles of the institute’s advanced analytical instruments.

The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, sincerely thanks the executives of the Ministry of Public Health and the medical innovation units of Khon Kaen University for their visit and for recognizing the institute’s potential as a model organization for research and academic services in omics sciences. These discussions mark an important step toward expanding academic collaboration and medical innovation for the greatest benefit of the nation’s health system in the future.
