The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, organized "The 3rd Phenomic Medicine Short Course" under the theme "Frontierization Beyond Cancer Precision Medicine" from 21 to 30 April 2025 at the KKU Science Park, Khon Kaen University. The intensive 10-day course concluded successfully.

The course drew participants from a wide range of institutions in academia, research and the health industry. It combined in-depth lectures with hands-on training on key topics in multi-omics and their application to phenomic medicine, supporting the future development of knowledge and innovation in precision medicine.

Course Highlights The course focused on building in-depth knowledge of phenomics and multi-omics, from study design and sample preparation to genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, CRISPR-Cas and the microbiome, through academic lectures paired with hands-on practice. Participants learned to use omics analytical instruments as well as software and data analysis tools to support in-depth research.

Group Activities and Real-World Application Participants took part in group activities to present ideas for applying phenomics technology in the context of their own research and professional work, and received feedback from the panel of expert instructors, helping to connect theoretical knowledge with concrete, practical application.

A Platform for Building Collaborative Networks Throughout the course, participants had the opportunity to exchange knowledge, experience and academic perspectives with researchers and experts from many institutions, leading to collaborative networks in health innovation and future joint work.

The National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, thanks the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B) for providing scholarships for the entire course and for its key role in developing the nation's workforce in medicine and health sciences.

Although the course has ended, the advancement of knowledge, academic exchange and the drive toward the medicine of the future through data science and phenomics technology will continue.
